Word of Mouth

I had to go to the college today.  Just a little paper work so I will be able to register for the upcoming semester.  While there, I was informed that they were having a "Women's History" program today and was invited to go.  I asked what they would be discussing and found out that they were having a guest speaker and the topic was women's victories throughout the years as far as rights and other such politics.  I made a comment about how I was afraid that we were pretty much surrendering now.  We talked about some of the bills that infringe on our rights as women.  I started mentioning specific bills for our area.  She looked shocked.  She hadn't realized that it had hit so close to home.  I also mentioned an upcoming protest against these bills targeted against women's health care rights.  I asked her if she would mind mentioning it somewhere during the program.  She was very interested and printed out the details.  She said she was going to work it in.  I'm not sure if she'll hold to her word, but I really hope she does.  The more people that know about this, the better.

  1. That is fantastic!!!! College students are some of the best activist ever. These bills will be especially damaging to college women. I really hope this lady follows through. Just because SB12 didn't pass doesn't mean they won't get something else through and I promise they will try another one.
